Our Services
At Little Ears, our mission is to empower families of infants and toddlers who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing by providing expert early intervention, individualized assessments, and tailored support services. We believe that early access to language and communication is key to a child’s development, and we are committed to guiding families through this journey with evidence-based strategies, auditory-verbal therapy techniques, and bilingual support. Through assessments, direct services, IEP and report reviews, and personalized consultations, we equip parents with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to help their child thrive in a language-rich environment.
Personalized Assessments
Early identification and comprehensive assessment are key to understanding a child’s hearing, language, and communication development. I provide thorough evaluations tailored for infants and toddlers (0-3 years old), assessing listening skills, spoken language development, auditory skills, and overall communication abilities. These assessments guide families in understanding their child’s strengths and areas of need while helping to shape personalized early intervention strategies. Through parent interviews, observational assessments, and collaboration with audiologists and other professionals, I ensure a holistic and accurate picture of a child’s developmental progress.
One-on One Early Intervention
Following an assessment, I provide individualized direct services designed to support the unique needs of each child and family. Whether focusing on auditory-verbal therapy strategies, parent coaching, or incorporating language-building activities into daily routines, I tailor my approach to maximize language and listening development. I work closely with families to integrate communication strategies into natural, everyday interactions, ensuring that children are receiving continuous and meaningful language exposure. My goal is to create a nurturing and language-rich environment where infants and toddlers can thrive.
IFSP/IEP and Report Consultation
Navigating the world of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs), Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and professional assessments can be overwhelming for families. I offer detailed reviews of IEPs, assessments, and reports, helping parents understand what these documents mean for their child’s education and services. I provide insights into whether current goals and accommodations align with best practices for Deaf and Hard of Hearing children, and I guide families in advocating for appropriate services and supports to ensure their child’s needs are fully met. I offer consultation services to help families, educators, and professionals navigate the complexities of early intervention, hearing technology, language development, and school placements. Whether you need help understanding communication options, maximizing the benefits of hearing devices, or ensuring a strong foundation for future learning, I provide personalized support to answer questions, address concerns, and empower families with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions.
